Ozzie Hoppe was raised on a healthy diet of surfing and hitchhiking during a childhood that was spent between Costa Rica, New York, Hawaii, California and Texas; all serving as a starting point to traveling throughout the world. He has worked on select assignments and travel journeys while recently publishing a story that captured the Colombian city of Medellín’s growing hip hop community for Roads & Kingdoms. Ozzie currently works between NYC and Central America.

He has recently published his work in Condé Nast (USA), Outside (USA), The Guardian / Global Focus, The Guardian / Travel (UK), Al Jazeera Media Network (Qatar), AJ+ (Qatar), National Geographic Traveller (India), Roads & Kingdoms (USA), Gulf News (Dubai), Silkwinds (Singapore) Damaged Goods Magazine (New Zealand), Surfer Rule (Spain), Surfline (USA), La Repubblica (Italy), Zupi (Brazil), Khabar (USA), Les Others (France), iGNANT (Germany) and Outlook (India). Ozzie has also shot and edited videos for BBC (UK), AJ+ (Qatar) as well as photo assignments for TripAdvisor (USA) and AMC Networks (USA) . When he’s not with a camera in hand or surfing, he rides motorcycles and works on laborious pencil drawings.
